確實，大家可以說My job is cleaning the office. 也可以說 My job is to clean the office. 后者可能是指某次打掃衛生時，主任分配給我的活。但有時用不定式還是動名詞作表語，與主語名詞有關。比如：My plan is to go to Beijing University. 與plan搭配的是不定式，這個句子就不可以用動名詞作表語。假如我說十年來我的計劃一直是上北大。英文則為：For the past ten years, my plan has been to go to Beijing University.
