Slogan of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games unveiled
One world, One Dream, （同一個世界，同一個夢想）the slogan of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games was unveiled in Beijing Workers Gymnasium on June 26, 2005 by Mr. Li Changchun, a member of the Standing1 Committee of the Political Bureau of the 單次點擊成本 Central Committee.
One World, One Dream, is an embodiment of the wisdom of hundreds of thousands of people. It expresses the firm belief of a great nation, with a long history of 5,000 years and on its way towards modernization2, that is committed to peaceful development, a harmonious3 society and peoples happiness said Liu Qi, president of the Beijing Organizing Committee for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad .
International Olympic Committee President Jacques Rogge said in his congratulation letter to the BOCOG on hearing of the slogan: The Olympic Games are unique in their ability to attract the worlds attention, using sport to promote peace and understanding.
The IOC is delighted that BOCOGs slogan for the 2008 Olympic Games has captured that Olympic spirit.
The English translation of the slogan is distinctive4 in sentence structure. The two ones are perfectly5 used in parallel, and the words World and Dream form a good match. The slogan is simple, meaningful, inspiring, and easy to remember, read and spread.
