1.基本使用方法

apart表示“分開”、“相距”、“離開”等，可以用于時間、距離、關系、情況等;另外從所表示的狀況來看，它既可表示靜態的“相距”或“相隔”;也可表示動態的“分開”或“離開”等：

The two villages are about two kilometers apart. 這兩個村莊相距約兩公里。

Their views are wide apart. 他們的怎么看相去甚遠。

During that time we were never apart. 在那段時間里人大家從不離別。

I cant get the two things apart. 我不可以把這兩樣東西分開。

He and his wife are living apart. 他與老婆沒住在一塊。

She keeps herself apart from other people. 她與其他人維持距離。

2.易錯說明

表示具體的時間或距離時，應置于其后，而不應像漢語那樣置于其前：

這兩座房屋相距200米。

正：The two houses are 200 metres apart.

誤：The two houses are apart 200 metres.

大家兩個的過生日剛好相差一個月。

正：Our birthdays are exactly a month apart.

誤：Our birthdays are exactly apart a month.

3.用于提問

詢問相隔多遠時，要用 How far apart...?

你們的住處相距多遠?

正：How far apart do you live?

誤：How apart do you live?

4.關于apart from

用于短語apart from：

①表示“除...外還有”：

Apart from the cosplayt, it will take a lot of time. 除去花費外，它還需要不少時間。

Apart from being too large, the hat doesnt suit me. 除去太大外，這頂帽子我戴也不適合。

②表示“若沒”、“除...外”：

The article is good apart from a few spelling mistakes. 除去有幾個拼寫錯誤外，這篇文章寫得挺好的。
